Art-Utility

Art-Rite, Walter Robinson, Edit DeAk, and Joshua Cohn, co-published with Printed Matter, New York, 2019

Fascimile collection of the complete run of the much loved and indispensable periodical, Art-Rite, originally published in New York City between 1973 and 1978 and long since celebrated for spotlighting an emergent generation of artists, including many who were—or would soon become—the defining voices of the era. Produced with managing editors James Hoff and Miriam Katzeff on behalf of Primary Information in New York.

Masking of the original halftone and line art design elements, for separate treatments to avoid moiré while ensuring optimal image detail and text sharpness.

Updated colophon and titling designed to seamlessly follow the original publication.
